Mililani 1st Ward Camp

This summer James and I experienced our first ward camp together. Before youth conference I thought a 2 - 3 man tent would be a good size for the both of us. We stayed in a little 2-3 man tent during youth conference and came to the realization that a 2-3 man tent is more like a 1 man tent. We decided that we needed to get a nice family size tent that we could stand in.

Our ward camp was so wonderful. Some of the activities we had were dodge ball, volleyball, eating shave ice, crab hunt, scavenger hunt, hike, morning and evening devotionals, and of course swimming at the beach. We had such a fun time getting to know our ward members better. They really took care of us especially since we didn't have much camping gear. We love our new ward. We feel it a blessing to be surrounded by such great members of the church.

We can't wait for next year's ward camp and are excited to add something new to our camping gear.

Grandma and Grandpa Teshimas 50th Wedding Anniversary

Trip to Lanai
In celebration of Grandma and Grandpa Teshima's (James grandparents) 50th wedding anniversary the whole Teshima family camped on Lanai for a few days. We had a wonderful time riding on a boat from Maui to Lanai. The scenery was beautiful. There were about 4 or 5 dolphins that swam right past our boat. It was exciting!!!

Family Dinner at Grandma's House
For dinner we had prime rib, oven roasted vegetables, baked potatoes with everything on top, and mangos. The food was ono. We spent time together watching a beautiful video that Adrian put together of Grandma and Grandpa growing up, their years together, and of their children and grandchildren. We spent the rest of the night playing, talking story, and watching some funny skits by the grandchildren.

Des & Isi's New House

Although it required a lot of work, it was a lot of fun for us to help out with Des and Isi's house. My fingers, hands and feet were pretty sore after tiling for a couple days. Amidst the worry about finishing the house as soon as possible, we had a lot of laughs. Here is my very favorite picture (notice Des' nose, click on the picture to get a better view). Des became our official tile cutter and was outside with the goggles on cutting tile most of the time. She mentioned to me "I look like I got a fake tan." Every time I look at this picture I can't help but laugh thinking of how the comment she made is so true.

We are setting in the last two tiles:)

This is only a small portion of what we tiled. Keep in mind, these are 18" tiles.
We are grateful for all of your love and kindness and feel so blessed to have you in our lives.
